My work from home position no longer requires a landline phone!(As of 12/2018) When I started homeschooling, I was looking for ways to earn money.  The first thing I thought about was making enough to cover expenses. How can I afford materials, supplies, pay bills, buy food etc. I decided to use my computer and get a job. Since 2012, I’ve had three work from home jobs. I’ve sold newspaper subscriptions,  assisted customers with shopping, and now I’m in the hospitality business. I would admit, it takes discipline, patience, and a willingness to learn. Don’t fret, most companies provide training, some are unpaid but most will pay you unless you’re an independent contractor.

Finding legitimate work from home jobs takes time. If it sounds too good to be true, it’s a scam. I subscribed to work from home job boards and have found, applied, and interviewed with many companies that are hiring virtual workers. When working from home, you don’t have to worry about transportation costs, expensive clothing, or hair and makeup everyday, but you still want to look presentable around your family ( I haven’t worked in my pajamas yet!).

I just wanted to take a moment to write to the moms, dads, military spouses and people like me who homeschool their children or are caregivers. If you or someone you know needs an idea on how to start a career in the hospitality industry, consider the Reservation and Customer Care position. The Hilton hotels was voted as “one of the best places to work”, it is  a “parent friendly” position that offers paid time off, paid training, holiday pay, and great benefits. I’ve had a great experience this year. You are welcomed to take a look at the latest job posts or share the link with someone who may benefit from this line of work.
